Yeah, now it’s much more advance. I believe they’re on V5 and it’s now fully incorporated seamlessly into Hololens. The problem with ToF is that it gives less resolution in short distances, which is a problem if you use it for authentication like Apple is doing with FaceID :) But yeah, I expect them to be on par pretty soon.
